The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022 is Open, the First Doraemon Exhibition Outside Japan

The Doraemon Exhibition is being held at the National Museum of Singapore from 5 November 2022 – 5 February 2023. The exhibition was organized by Singapore-based clothing company, LEYOUKI, with the support of the National Museum of Singapore and Singaporean marketing agency DFW Creative Pte. Ltd.

This exhibition shows Doraemon’s past, present, and future stories. Doraemon fans are invited to see the beginning of this manga released in 1969. There is a special section called Manga Doraemon Original Drawings Exhibition which displays more than 70 original drawings and sketches of the late Fujiko F. Fujio, the creator of Doraemon. 

Moreover, a section called Create Your Own Original Doraemon is available so that visitors can enjoy Doraemon-themed artworks from the 28 contemporary art groups and artists’ point of view. In this section, there are not only paintings, but also sculptures, graphics, and photography.

After seeing the exhibition, visitors can stop by the Doraemon-themed cafe in the Basement Gallery Foyer. This cafe is a collaboration with Toraya, a maker of wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) with a track record of nearly 500 years. (Klonopin) There is also a shop for Doraemon-themed merchandise, including bags, glasses, and stationery.

The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022 is open every day from 10:00 AM-19:00 PM local time. Tickets can be ordered through the official website. Ticket prices start from 30 Singapore dollars or around IDR 333,289 for adult visitors, 25 Singapore dollars or around IDR 277,741 for visitors under 18 years old, and free for children under 6 years old.
