The First Harry Potter Studio Park in Asia to Come Soon in Japan!

The first Harry Potter studio tour park outside Britain will be opened in Tokyo on June 16th  2023. The Harry Potter studio park will provide fans with access to behind-the-scenes experiences, including the chance to explore the actual sets, properties, and costumes of the well-known movies.

The Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter is designed as a walk-through tour where fans can enter the fantasy world of the films based on the novels of the same title by J.K. Rowling.

Warner Bros Studio Japan operator said that this would be the second facility after the Warner Bros Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter which opened in 2012 in Britain, visited by more than 17 million people. As Asia’s first and only Harry Potter studio theme park, the Tokyo version will be the world’s largest indoor Harry Potter attraction. Visitors will spend about four hours exploring this place.

This amusement park will provide us with facilities such as restaurants and cafes serving British specialties such as roast beef, afternoon tea, fish and chips. We can also visit the biggest Harry Potter shop in the world with special items made in the Tokyo version.

The park also features a replica set of Platform 9 3/4 which students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry use to go after the Hogwarts Express and travel into the wizarding world. This replica of the fictional steam locomotive is available for park visitors to ride.

The theme park, located in Tokyo’s Nerima Ward, is currently under construction on a 30,000-square-meter Toshimaen park. It used to be one of the biggest amusement parks in Tokyo that closed in August 2020 after almost 100 years.

To visit this amusement park, you must pre-order tickets starting on March 22 for slots between June 16 and September 30. You can buy tickets for JPY 6,300 for adults, JPY 5,200 for high school and junior high school students and JPY 3,800 for children aged 4 years and older.
