Bingkai Karya – After spending a significant amount of time refining their sound behind the scenes, Thai alternative rock band Tilly Birds return to mark a new chapter in their musical journey with the release of their first English language album, ‘I’ll Remember To Forget You.’ Created to communicate with a broader international audience through a more globally accessible musical language, the album preserves the band’s signature identity while allowing their music to reach further than ever before.
The 13-track album is shaped around the emotional contradiction of wanting to forget, yet being unable to let go. Exploring memories, fractured relationships, and the slow process of learning how to release what once mattered, the album reflects the band’s early aspirations when Tilly Birds first began writing songs in English. Listeners will hear a clear evolution in the band’s sound, arrangements, and storytelling, all of which now carry a broader sensibility without losing the emotional depth that defines their music.
Despite its more global outlook, the core of Tilly Birds remains unchanged: memorable melodies, gradual emotional builds, and carefully considered details that give each song its own distinctive character. Leading up to the album’s release, the band introduced the project through a series of singles, including “White Pills,” “Retro-39,” “Never A Waste of Time,” “Heaven (feat. Ben&Ben),” and “Call It A Day.” Together, these tracks present the album as an open and emotionally resonant body of work, ready to connect with listeners across borders.
Completing the album’s narrative, Tilly Birds release “Shouting Eyes” as the final focus single from the project. Built on bold yet contemporary alternative sounds, the song explores unspoken emotional power dynamics where words may deny the truth, but the eyes reveal everything. It becomes a quiet test of control, questioning who ultimately holds power when emotions can no longer be concealed.
The accompanying music video, directed by Jean Khamkwan, draws viewers into an emotional confrontation through layered, cinematic storytelling. The visual narrative captures the tension of unspoken feelings, translating subtle psychological shifts into striking imagery.
In addition to “Shouting Eyes,” the album features seven more tracks: “Dearest Tears,” “Our Happy Place,” “If You Say So (feat. James Alyn),” “Dirty Knees,” “Before The Sun Can Shine,” “Let Me Down In The Morning,” and the title track ‘I’ll Remember To Forget You.’ Each song adds a distinct emotional shade, gradually completing the album’s journey from longing toward liberation.
‘I’ll Remember To Forget You’ is more than just Tilly Birds’ first English-language album it represents an open space the band has created for their music to reach a wider audience, connecting listeners in Thailand and beyond through shared emotions, memories, and moments of reflection. Like watching a film told through sound, the album invites listeners to confront their own feelings as the story unfolds.
Tilly Birds’ album ‘I’ll Remember To Forget You’ is now available on all major streaming platforms worldwide.
