Bingkai Karya – Tom Odell Announces His New Album ‘A Wonderful Life’
Tom Odell has revealed details of his upcoming album ‘A Wonderful Life’, set for release on September 5, 2025, via UROK/Virgin. Recorded in London, the album contains ten tracks, including the introductory opener, “Don’t Let Me Go.”
On his seventh studio album, Odell presents a record infused with empathy and open-heartedness, one that reflects the chaotic and fragmented landscape of modern society. Despite dystopia and despair, the project ultimately uncovers glimmers of beauty and hope.
Coinciding with the album announcement, Odell has also shared a new single, “Don’t Cry, Put Your Head On My Shoulder.” A cinematic lullaby driven by guitar, it is destined to become a live anthem, especially during his signature intimate performances illuminated by phone lights in the crowd. The song tells the story of a friend struggling through personal turmoil and learning how to heal, once again showcasing Odell’s masterful songwriting.
The tracks on ‘A Wonderful Life’ explore the complexities of human existence, messy, nonlinear, and anything but tidy. “I wish I could wrap it all up in a neat little bow,” says Odell. “But these songs are the antithesis of that. Living and writing honestly about life is a vital part of who I am now. And if I have any duty at all, it’s to keep doing just that.”
Tom recently performed across European arenas in support of Billie Eilish and is set to return to many of those same venues later this year for a massive 27-date headlining tour across the UK and Europe, including a night at London’s O2 Arena on October 29.
Fans can pre-order ‘A Wonderful Life’ through Tom’s webstore before 5 PM BST on Tuesday, May 27, for first access to UK/EU arena tickets. Pre-sale begins Wednesday, May 28 at 10 AM BST, with general sale starting Friday, May 30 at 10 AM BST.
This weekend, Odell is slated to perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025 in Liverpool’s Sefton Park. His tour with Billie Eilish continues throughout Europe this month, and his own intimate headline shows begin this summer, including a small July performance at Battersea Arts Centre that sold out within seconds. North American dates will follow in September.
Tom will also perform on the Woodsies Stage at Glastonbury this year, with more tour news to follow soon.
Meanwhile, on TikTok, his 2012 breakthrough single “Another Love” has seen a viral resurgence in the past two years, entering the Billboard TikTok Top 50 and soundtracking millions of videos, particularly in support of Ukraine and women-led protests in Iran. The song has surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify and ranks among the platform’s top 25 most streamed songs of all time.
Still, the massive streaming numbers and prestigious awards (BRITs, Ivor Novellos) tell only part of the story. Odell’s ability to connect directly with listeners’ emotions, across generations and continents, explains the admiration he receives from rising stars like The Last Dinner Party, Billie Eilish, and AURORA, as well as legends like Cat Stevens and Elton John.
A Wonderful Life feels like a landmark body of work, an intimate yet cinematic album from an artist quietly climbing toward even greater relevance.

About ‘A Wonderful Life’
Odell has peeled back the layers of his songwriting to expose vulnerability, pain, and emotional truths with increasing clarity. Since Monsters (2021), his lyrics have become more raw and direct, resonating deeply with a new generation seeking solace in authenticity. His seventh album continues this trend, combining poetic melancholy with subtle hope.
Songs like “Don’t Let Me Go” and “Ugly” dig deep into personal and collective anxieties, while “Prayer” and “Wonderful Life” offer comfort and beauty in life’s quiet moments. Recorded live across three London studios with his band, the album preserves a human touch, music that reaches out, like a hand in the dark.
Written throughout 2024 on tour buses and trains, the record reflects not just global despair, but Odell’s relentless pursuit of honest expression. “Writing these songs was obsessive, exhausting, but necessary,” he shares. “I try to say what no one wants to say, because those are the truths that eat us alive if we keep them hidden.”
Despite past mainstream success, Odell has found purpose in creating deeply personal music that helps others feel seen. “We’re all going through it,” he says. “And somehow, singing about it together makes it all a little less lonely.”
