JYP Entertainment officially announced that the pre-order stock for Twice’s upcoming mini album “Ready to Be” had exceeded 1.7 million on March 7. This number is an estimate of demand calculated using various factors, including how many albums fans have ordered. The mini album “Ready to Be” also scored TWICE’s highest pre-order numbers in their entire career which also made Twice the fifth girl group in history to surpass 1 million pre-order stocks.
This figure does not only come from Korea, but all over the world which also shows the high enthusiasm of fans and proves TWICE’s global popularity that continues to increase, even though they have entered the eighth year of their career.
This mini album was made in order to welcome Twice’s comeback on March 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. KST. On this comeback, Twice performed their main song “Set Me Free” which was also featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” at the same night on March 9th. Even more exciting, New York’s Empire State Building will also light up with Twice’s official colors on the group’s comeback day.
Before the achievement of this mini album, Twice also recently won the ‘2023 Billboard Women In Music Awards’ and performed their pre-released single ‘Moonlight Sunrise’ at the event.
Besides the comeback, Twice also gave a few spoilers regarding their upcoming concert. In April 2023, TWICE will hold 17 solo concerts in 14 cities starting from Seoul, Japan, Australia, to North America. This city concert will be followed by a big concert, which is their fifth world tour which will be held in May 2023. They said this world tour concert will be carried out grandly on a bigger scale than before.
