Bingkai Karya – A heartfelt comeback arrives through “Cinta Tapi Terluka,” the latest single from The Chasmala. The song explores the bitter reality of unhealthy relationships often referred to by Gen Z as toxic relationships where love remains, yet pain and disappointment continue to grow. It captures the inner conflict of two people who care deeply for each other but are forced to face the truth that their love no longer moves in the same direction.
Written by keyboardist Irfan Chasmala, the song was further refined in collaboration with vocalist Pieter Anroputra and guitarist Denny Chasmala (Denchas). The creative process was strengthened by the involvement of Ade Govinda as music producer, who helped shape the emotional depth of both the lyrics and the arrangement.
“I hope this song becomes a reminder that pain can make someone stronger,” Irfan shares about the message behind the track.
“Cinta Tapi Terluka” is inspired by a real life story experienced by Irfan’s close friend, making the emotions feel raw, honest, and deeply relatable. The song tells the story of two hearts that once trusted each other, only to realize that love which continues to hurt should not be held onto.
Despite its emotional weight, the production process was relatively short yet intense. Irfan completed the core melody and lyrics within three days before reaching out to Pieter to record a demo. The song was then brought to Ade Govinda, who responded positively and immediately supported its development.
This single holds a special place in The Chasmala’s discography. In addition to serving as the vocalist, Pieter also takes on the role of drummer, bringing a fresh dynamic not previously heard in the band’s work. The lineup is further completed by Rishanda Singgih on bass, Dika Chasmala on strings, and Meltho Pasto as vocal director.
According to Ade Govinda, the song carries a distinctive rhythmic character. “The feel sounds vintage, like music from the 60s or 70s. Pieter adapted quickly to that mood, so the song’s emotion truly comes through,” he explains.
The band members also shared their hopes for the release. “We hope listeners enjoy it, the streams perform well, and that we’ll be able to perform this song live on stage,” Denchas says. Pieter adds, “May this song be a blessing for The Chasmala.”
Closing the release, Irfan delivers a powerful message to listeners: “This song is dedicated to anyone who has been hurt by violence, disappointment, manipulation, and other struggles in life. Hopefully, these lyrics can become a new source of inspiration especially for The Chasmala’s listeners. Never be afraid of pain, because pain can help us rise, grow stronger, and be more prepared to face life’s challenges.”
“Cinta Tapi Terluka” is available on all digital streaming platforms starting January 21, 2026. The official music video can be watched on MyMusic Records’ YouTube channel.
