Filipino sensation Zack Tabudlo and Thai singer-songwriter Violette Wautier join forces to deliver a soul-stirring ballad “Turn Back Time”. Not only do they blend their voices harmoniously, but they also showcase their songwriting talent in the song.
Their collaboration took shape in 2022, when Violette met Zack in Singapore. Violette expressed her admiration for Zack as an artist in an interview. Zack, in turn, had also expressed his desire to collaborate with Violette. The collaboration became possible as both are friends and their teams in Manila and Thailand supported them.
Zack and Violette, despite being from different countries (the Philippines and Thailand), found a strong connection through music. While they had prior collaborations, working together on this project felt different because they were already friends. This pre-existing friendship made the collaboration comfortable and allowed them to understand each other’s creative processes better. Zack was impressed with Violette’s songwriting skills and gained even more respect for her as an artist.
“Turn Back Time” is a heartbreak song with dual perspectives. Zack starts the song by expressing the longing and regret after a failed relationship. He highlights the feeling of helplessness in the face of heartbreak. Meanwhile, Violette portrays a lover resigned to their doomed fate.

Speaking about the song, Violette said, “Like any relationship, there are beautiful moments you share, but there’s also pain involved. I think anyone who has had a long-lasting relationship can understand that. That’s what really inspired the song—it’s very real. As much as it hurts, and as much as you want a relationship to work, sometimes it just doesn’t work out.”
Violette hoped that “Turn Back Time” resonated with their listeners. To his fans, Zack advises “to always remember that falling out of love is never easy whether you’re a man or a woman. There’s always two sides to the story and the only way to heal is to move on.”
