This release stands apart from his previous works. The arrangement carries a rich dynamism, blending flowing melodies with striking intensity, while still staying true to Pusakata’s signature warmth and lyrical depth. Produced alongside Denny Chasmala and Irfan Chasmala, the track captures both the energy and vulnerability that lie at the heart of the song.
The creative process was fast yet deeply introspective, making the single feel like an intimate consultation room, a place to open up about struggles, particularly around mental health, which serves as the song’s core inspiration.
“Life is a battle. Every moment, every change brings new challenges. Sometimes we lose. Sometimes we feel defeated and crushed. And often we think every fight must be won. But life unfolds in different chapters and not all battles need a victory,” says Pusakata.
For Pusakata, “Mengenang Hari Ini” is a gentle reminder that every emotion is part of being human.
“Losing is human. Sadness is human. Anger is human. Fatigue is human. All of these remind us that life will always test us, pushing us to grow. But along the way, we must remember to pause. To rest. To love and embrace ourselves. Not everything must be perfect, because perfection itself doesn’t exist. Sometimes, we simply need to stop for a while.”
