Bingkai Karya – There are loves that seem perfect on the outside, yet hide wounds that quietly destroy from within. From that space of reflection came “Terbelah Jadi Dua”, a song that brings together two prominent names in Indonesian music, Ade Govinda and Gloria Jessica, also known as Glojes, in a collaboration nearly a decade in the making.
“Terbelah Jadi Dua” tells the story of the quietest kind of pain: loving someone who turns out to be sharing their heart with someone else. Told mainly from a woman’s perspective, the song delivers a powerful message, that while love is full of mystery, when betrayal arrives, it takes clarity and strength to stand up again. That song doesn’t aim to dramatize heartbreak, but to accompany anyone who has felt it, reminding them that healing begins with honesty toward oneself.
The story behind this song began long before its first recording. In 2018, Ade first heard Gloria Jessica’s voice in “Dia Tak Cinta Kamu”. He recalled, “Oh my God, this person’s voice is incredible, and the way she delivers the message really hits.” From that moment, they stayed in touch, though the right time to collaborate never came. Years passed as she pursued her solo journey and personal life, until in 2025, their connection rekindled and the dream they had held since 2018 finally found its moment. They discovered they shared the same frequency, not just musically, but also in family values and artistic vision.
From this track, Ade Govinda explored a fresh musical approach: loop-based beats, minimal conventional drums, and highly detailed mixing designed for younger listeners without sacrificing emotional depth. “You have to listen to “Terbelah Jadi Dua” with earphones or headphones, I want you to experience this song to the fullest,” he said.
The music video, directed by Bagoes Tresna, follows the emotional journey of a woman who gradually realizes that the man she loves is involved with someone else. It stars Yasmin Jasem, Daffa Saputra, Shalima Hakim, and Handry Hartantio. Visually, the video is dominated by blue tones and dark palettes, representing sorrow and emotional depth. At the end of filming, Gloria Jessica broke down in tears upon seeing the final scene, unaware beforehand that the story mirrored something she had personally experienced.
“Terbelah Jadi Dua” marks the first step in a larger journey. What began as a single project evolved into a full album, titled ‘Blue’, inspired by the phrase ‘feeling blue’, scheduled for release in the same year. While the album is largely filled with mellow tracks, it will also feature medium-tempo songs with a Brit-pop direction. “This album is an exploration of our idealistic side. Beyond mellow songs, there will be strong Brit-pop influences. We’re no longer talking about ‘selling’, but about ‘being ourselves’,” added Ade Govinda.
Another musician involved in the project is Barsena Bestandhi, who serves as the vocal producer for the ‘Blue’ album alongside Ade Govinda.
“We hope this song can reach and accompany listeners, be there in moments of emptiness and sadness, while reminding you that everyone deserves to be fully loved,” Gloria Jessica concluded.
“Terbelah Jadi Dua” is available on all digital music platforms and on Ade Nurulianto’s YouTube channel starting April 17, 2026.
