Juche Tower is one of many symbolic buildings in North Korea. It was built to celebrate Kim Il Sung’s 70th birthday and its name comes from the juche ideology believed there. Juche Tower is located on the east of Taedong River, Pyongyang with a height of about 170 meters. From the top of it, visitors can view the Kim Il Sung Square, the Rungrado May Day Stadium, and Ryugyong hotel. The ticket price is approximately IDR 92,000 per person.

Sino Bridge is a symbol of friendship between North Korea and China. It connects several cities including Dandong, China, and Sinuiju. The best time to visit this bridge is at night since there are beautiful colorful lights which illuminate along the bridge. Unfortunately, visitors can only see this bridge from afar or by car because pedestrians are prohibited from crossing Sino Bridge.

Heaven Lake is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest crater lake in the world. In winter between mid-October to mid-June, Heaven Lake will be covered with ice. Meanwhile, a variety of wild flowers will grow to fill the hills around the lake in spring.

For people who love historical destinations, the Victorious War Museum can be a great choice. The Victorious War museum is a testament to Kim Il Sung’s greatness in managing the military. In this museum, there are stored war vehicles such as tanks and heavy weapons that were used by the North Korean army during the war. Foreign tourists are required to hire the services of a local guide.
