
The rise of the game industry has become great attention for the past few years. Aside from that, the growth of female players already reaches 38% of Asia’s 1.3 Billion gamer population. Kincir as a media provider for various content regarding esports, games, and films for youngsters is determined to develop the esports industry by holding women-only tournaments, Mobile Legends Women (WMI) 2023 by Collaborating with MOONTON Games as the developer of Mobile Legends. Starting from February 6, 2023, several teams already confirmed to join the tournament such as Smart Omega Empress, RISK VELKHANA, Grayback, Team HAQ, ZEG IRIS, Burmese Ghouls, Impunity Starlet, MDH, Bigetron Era, and GPX Basreng.
Ginta Kamka, the Vice-Chief Organizer of MLBB Women’s Invitational 2023 said, “as time goes, I can say proudly that the Games and Esports Industry has become one of the choices and opportunities to become a proper profession and reach achievements. Kincir has the vision to not only develop the Esports industry but also to provide the same opportunities, for both male and female players to compete evenly, even at a global scale.”
As a part of their commitment, Kincir has doubled the prize pool of MLBB Women’s Invitational 2023 compared to last year as a way to boost and motivate the players to become professional esports players.
“We’re happy with the success of our Women Professional League (MWI) that has been started since last year. It is important to provide a safe platform for minorities and individuals from every circle that can compete at the highest level and pierces through the competition. Esports and Games industry needs more female gamers from every region to change the status quo, not only professional athletes but also animators, developers, marketing leaders, software engineers, etc. All to change the situation and perception towards women in the gaming world,” said Ray Ng, The Head of the Esports Ecosystem MOONTON Games.

MWI Tournament 2023 has started from group elimination from February 6-7 2023. Playoffs also started online on February 8 2023 and February 12 2023 which can be watched live at Summarecon Mall Bekasi.
