Bingkai Karya – Not wanting to take a long break after releasing her second single “Lagi Lagi kamu”, Amanda Caesa returns to greet listeners with her third song titled “Sama Sama Tau”. This time, the theme revolves around hidden feelings, when two  people like each other but neither dares to make the first move. According to the singer, who was born on December 23, “Sama Sama Tau” captures that awkward yet sweet moment. “This song tells the story of two people who both already know they like each other, but neither is brave enough to start. So, everything stays in that same place-exchanging signals and attention, but never being honest. It’s frustrating because it’s obvious where it’s  going, yet held back by pride or fear of ruining what’s already there,” she explained.

According to Amanda, this song feels like the perfect choice for her latest single because it reflects her personality. “I happen to be the type of person who finds it hard to express my feelings first, so I tend to give hints to the person I like. The lyrics written by Kak Anka, Kak Wizzy, and Kak Rayi beautifully represent who I am and how I feel when I have a crush-liking someone, but mostly keeping it to myself.”

After collaborating with Syahravi Amanda on her previous two songs, the talented artist who is also skilled in drawing, tries something new by working with Ankadiov, Wizzy, and Rayi, who created “Sama Sama Tau”. From the very first listen, Amanda was immediately drawn to the track. “At that time, I was given a few demos to listen to. But when I heard “Sama Sama Tau,” I instantly felt that this song really suited me, both in terms of lyrics and genre. It made me even more excited to go into the workshop and develop the song further. It felt like finding a song that was truly ‘meant’ for me to perform, so the whole process became more natural and enjoyable.”

Although this was her first time working with the three musicians, Amanda admitted that the process was warm and enjoyable. “It was my first time collaborating with kak Anna, kak Wizzy, and Kak Rayi. At first, I was definitely nervous because I’ve always admired their work, so getting the chance to be part of the same project felt unreal. But it turned out they were humble, they were very open to my input, which slowly eased my nerves. It was truly fun and memorable.”

Musically, “Sama Sama Tau” presents a pop sound with a bossa nova touch. This combination creates a relaxed, light, and slightly jazzy atmosphere, while still being catchy. “The genre is pop with a hint of bossa nova, showing a more playful and flirty side of me. It feels laid-back but still groovy. The lyrics are also more straightforward like giving obvious hints to a crush. So it’s not completely hidden, but it shows the feelings even though there’s still hesitation to say it directly. I also tried to add my personal touch to the song, both in how I sing and how I deliver it,” Amanda explained.

Through “Sama Sama Tau”, Amanda hopes to invite listeners to enjoy the often confusing yet exciting phase of getting to know someone. “If you’re feeling the same way, just enjoy every moment. Even though it can be frustrating, it’s fun and something you’ll  miss later,” said the fan of international artist Billie Eilish. She even has a unique way to help listeners express their hidden feelings. “This song can be a way to give a hint to your crush, just send them the song and let them figure it out,” she concluded. Amanda Caesa’s latest single, “Sama Sama Tau,” will be available on digital streaming platforms starting April 10, 2026.
