Ana de Armas Wore a Marilyn Monroe-Inspired Gown at the Oscars

Ana de Armas looked stunning at the 2023 Oscars in her Marilyn Monroe-inspired dress. She wanted to show her appreciation for Marilyn Monroe. De Armas on the red carpet wore a custom-made silk organza Louis Vuitton gown, covered in glittering glass and rhinestone embellishments designed by Louis Vuitton.

Ana de Armas was nominated at the 2023 Oscars as one of the nominees in the Leading Actress category for her role in Blonde as Marilyn Monroe.

The dress she wore was inspired by one of Monroe’s most famous dresses which she wore while singing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to President John F. Kennedy. The dress style that was almost similar to Monroe’s dress can be seen from the scooped neckline, fitted silhouette and shimmering finish. The lower part of de Armas’s dress is shaped like a mermaid-like 3D scalloped train, combined with pointy nude heels.

De Armas’s make-up is also fresh and very flattering, with her straight and soft black hair. She also sported diamond and white gold jewelry by Louis Vuitton. (www.plu68.com) The Daily Mail reported that the process of making the dress took about 1,000 hours to fit Ana’s body

De Armas had a nomination for her role in Blonde for the 95th Academy Awards, however Michelle Yeoh won the Leading Actress award for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. De Armas went through an incredible transformation for Andrew Dominik’s Blonde, which was inspired by Joyce Carol Oates’ 2000 Pulitzer Prize-nominated novel about the life of Monroe and serves as a more twisted nightmare than a standard biopic.

Her appearance attracted quite a lot of attention, from the dress, the makeup, to the graceful demeanor of Ana herself, which added a special charm to the Oscar 2023 red carpet.
