India’s movie Industries bring its nation to a world level with 2 Oscars Wins. “Naatu Naatu,” the blockbuster hit from the action film “RRR,” received the Academy Award for best original song, becoming the first film from India to do so. Meanwhile, “The Elephant Whisperers” won best documentary short film. This marks a joyous occasion for India. as not only is this India’s movie Industries first time to bring its country an Academy Award, but doing it twice at the same night.
“Naatu Naatu” is a song in the movie “RRR” sung when the movie leads tried to educate a racist British man. Meanwhile, “The Elephant Whisperers” is a short heartfelt story of a couple adopting a baby elephant and protecting him from poachers.
Before “Naatu Naatu” was announced as Oscar winner, it had already attracted many fans all around the world. “Naatu Naatu” has millions of views on Youtube and even spawned a TikTok challenge. When the song won an Oscar, it immediately became a top trend on Twitter.
The entire India celebrated this joyous moment with what they shared on social media.
