Arctic Monkeys On Their Way To Jakarta Next Week

Arctic Monkeys, an indie rock band from Sheffield, England is hyping the start of this year by holding Asia Tour in 2023. Indonesia is one of the countries on the Asia Tour list. The concert will be held in Stadion Internasional Beach City Ancol, North Jakarta on March 18, 2023.

The tour itself acts as a support for their latest album, The Car, which was released on October 21, 2022.  Starting from Istanbul, Turkey on August 9, 2022, and will conclude in Los Angeles, US. stopping over several regions such as North America, South America, Oceania, and Eurasia. 

The ticket sales for the concert started on Monday, December 19, 2022. It consists of five different categories: CAT 1 (Rp3.600.000), CAT 2 (Rp3.180.000), CAT 3 (Rp4.320.000), CAT 4 (Rp2.760.000), dan CAT 5 (Rp1.560.000) and sold via Tiket.com that act as the official partner for the tour. Currently, most of the tickets are already sold out.

There are also several regulations regarding the concert, such as the audience needing to be vaccinated and use a mask for the whole duration of the concert and maintaining the health protocol. Kids below 12 years old are not allowed to enter the venue and several other rules.

Formed in mid-2002, Arctic Monkeys was considered one of the very first bands to be recognized publicly via the Internet. Representing the possibility of change in terms of promotion and marketing. Their debut album “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” in 2006 was considered one of the greatest debut albums and managed to win Best British Album in the 2007 BRIT Awards.

This success is followed by their second album “Favourite Worst Nightmare” which won in the same categories at the 2008 BRIT Awards. In 2013, with the release of the album “AM”, Arctic Monkeys managed to gain international fame.2013, and 2018.[7] Both Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not and AM are included in NME‘s and different editions of Rolling Stone‘s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time lists.
