Beabadoobee returns with her new single “Glue Song”. It was first teased on her social media and then followed by her latest live performances, including NPR Tiny Desk Concert. It became a fan favorite even though it was an unreleased track before, and it is her first new music since her 2022’s renowned album, “beatopia”.
Known for her touching, intimate love song. “Glue Song” was written during her journey while on tour across Asia and Australia last year, acting as reminiscent of beabadoobee’s early work that leans toward acoustic songs lifted by a lush string section. The music video was shot in the Philippines, Bea’s home country, and directed by Jacob Erland.
“I wrote a lot of this song while on tour across Australia and Asia in the back of cars and traveling. It’s a heartfelt song that means a lot to me…. A love song and the first one I’ve written in my new relationship. I usually write these songs that are sad, in the past my writing even when it doesn’t sound sad looking back the lyrics usually have been. For the first time, this is just me being really happy. I’m in a really positive place for the first time in a long time and feeling love. We recorded the song with my guitarist and producer Jacob in his house and added trumpets and strings. This song feels really personal and I went to my hometown in Ilo Ilo to film the music video. It’s where I was born and so that also added another personal touch to the song,” said Bea
With 2022 as her landmark year, Beabadoobee is ready to rock another year. Beabadoobe also played a show at London Lafayette recently for BRITS Week for War Child show during Independent Venue Week where she acted as the ambassador for its 10th Anniversary. Next March with her European tour and shows across the US, both as headlines while also supporting Taylor Swift with her forthcoming tour “The Eras” for her to show herself.
