Bingkai KaryaArmand Maulana, the vocalist of the band GIGI, has released a new mini album (EP) called Sarwa Renjana. The EP features five songs that explore gratitude for life, family, and his long career. The album, which means “kebesaran cinta,” describes Armand’s life journey full of challenges and abundant love. The EP also features collaborations with young musicians Ade Avery, Kamga, and Simhala Avadana, resulting in a fresher sound and color.

Armand believes that now is the right time to express his unchanneled musical side and hopes that Sarwa Renjana can be accepted by Indonesian music listeners. He believes that continuing to work and maintaining relevance is key to keeping his passion in music. The EP includes five songs: “Jangan Sampai Lepas”, “Surga”, “Aku Tempatmu Pulang”, “Senyaman Itu”, and “Senarai Cinta”.

The music video for “Surga” by Shadtoto Prasetio brings back the visual nuances of the 90s, using flannel shirts, which are now popular again. Armand Maulana, 54, faced the challenge of doing all the scenes in one room, including extreme stunts.

Armand Maulana had previously released a solo album in the 90s, “Kau Tetap Milikku”, before joining GIGI. His collaboration with Ade Avery continued intensely in the EP Sarwa Renjana, giving a new color to his music. Ade Avery and Mohammed Kamga learned from Armand’s versatile figure, and Simhala Avadana, who co-wrote the song and A&R Trinity Optima Production, found the recording process enjoyable.

The Sarwa Renjana EP showcases Armand Maulana’s personal side full of love and infinite gratitude for his life journey in new, fresh music.
