Black Butler announces its new season airing in 2024. The mangaka Yana Toboso made the announcement on her Twitter on July 4, 2023. In addition, the official Twitter account of Black Butler posted the teaser to accompany the big news.
The last Black Butler series Book of Circus premiered in 2014, with the OVA released in 2017. Having waited nearly 10 years, the fans were surprised with the anime coming back.
The Phantomhive Manor Murders arc will set the plot of the Black Butler new series. It follows the murder of Georg von Siemens, a German banker, at Phantomhive Manor. The arc starts at the chapter 38 to 50.
Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto will both return to their roles as Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive. Directed by Kenjirou Okada, the anime will feature Ryo Kawasaki’s music.
