Brigade07, a pop punk and melodic punk band, celebrated their anniversary party in their own concert titled “Punk Rock Survivor”. In this concert, Brigade07 also celebrated their anniversary with other musicians from other genres. The concert was held on June 24th.
The event aims to show that Malang’s music industry is colorful not only because of just one genre, but also because the colors from other genres exist. The concert was held successfully by @realizmeightyseven, through collaboration with Brigade07. “Punk Rock Survivor” shows an obvious message of the importance of collaboration and support system between lines (in this case, music genres).
“Punk Rock Survivor” invited a lot of Malang City’s musicians from all over music genres to perform their music. There were Somniumsaic (modern metal band), Primitive Chimpanzee (metal crossover band), Nganchuk Crew (explicit rap group), Girl and Her Bad Mood (dream pop band), ans 2 soloists Nadine Fatiana and Priskilia Oktaviani.
Besides inviting Malang City’s musicians, “Punk Rock Survivor” also invited several bands from out of the city. There were MCPR (melodic punk and punk rock band from Surakarta), Pyong Pyong (from Semarang), and Stand Here Alone (from Bandung).
There are 19 songs in total that performed by Brigade07. They performed their best of the best out of their entire discography. They played Friendship Forever Split Album, Self Titled Brigade Zero Seven, No Regret dan Punk Rock Survivor, and their new single “14 Februari”.
The setlist of the concert started with “Punk Rock Survivor”, “Kita Adalah Sama”, and “Abadi”, continued with “Barakan Api”, “Sad Song”, and “Waktu Tak Akan Menunggu”. The list went on with the performance of Nadine Fatiana with the song “Bermimpilah”, “Harapan Terindah”, “Bintangku”, “Sweet of Curse”, and another performance from another musician. The concert ended with the after party, where they danced happily, celebrating the diversity of the music genres that exist.
