Bingkai Karya – Following the release of “Merelakanmu,” Endah N Rhesa return with a new single titled “Terang Bulan,” released on July 22, 2026. The song serves as the next chapter leading up to their upcoming mini album.
While “Merelakanmu” tells the story of navigating the pain of losing someone dear, “Terang Bulan” explores the next phase of that journey: living through the days after loss, learning to accept reality, and allowing time to gradually heal emotional wounds.
“Terang Bulan” captures the quiet moments that often go unnoticed when night falls, the day’s distractions fade away, and nothing remains but the sound of one’s own thoughts. Within that silence emerge questions, doubts, and the determination to stay strong, even without knowing what tomorrow may bring.
Endah N Rhesa acknowledges that they are currently in a deeply transformative stage of life. As they grow older, the fear of losing loved ones has become increasingly real. The steady stream of heartbreaking news from family members and close friends has reminded them that life never stops moving forward, and that sometimes the only thing people can do is learn to accept what lies beyond their control.
Those experiences and emotions gradually transformed into deeply personal conversations that had long remained unspoken.
“Haruskah aku bermain peran, seakan kuat tak terkalahkan.”
The lyric was born from a simple yet profound question: Do we really have to appear strong all the time, even when we’re falling apart inside?
“I often find myself reflecting and looking inward at night. There’s a sense of comfort that comes with the silence, when distractions begin to fade and I can pour out my emotions without worrying about having to immediately return to my daily routine. Those are the moments when I can be truly honest with myself, and little by little, I find peace within,” Endah shares.
Through “Terang Bulan,” Endah N Rhesa does not attempt to offer answers to the experience of loss. Instead, the song invites listeners to embrace a process that often unfolds quietly accepting that sadness, fear, and uncertainty are all part of being human. Sometimes, what we need most is not someone who can erase our pain, but a space where we feel safe enough to acknowledge it.
Both “Merelakanmu” and “Terang Bulan” are part of Endah N Rhesa’s upcoming mini album, ‘Menyambut Matahari,’ scheduled for release in the coming months. Consisting of five Indonesian-language songs, the project traces an emotional journey through loss, acceptance, and hope.
“This mini album feels more melancholic than our previous works. Perhaps it reflects the stage of life we’re currently going through. But through these songs, we found a space to pour out everything we’ve been feeling. In the end, it feels incredibly liberating,” says Rhesa, bassist and producer of Endah N Rhesa’s music.
Starting July 22, “Terang Bulan” is available on all major digital streaming platforms. To celebrate its release, Endah N Rhesa are hosting a special listening session in collaboration with Earhouse Listening Club at Earhouse, Pamulang (South Tangerang) on the day of the song’s release. During the event, the duo will discuss the song in depth while sharing stories behind its recording and production process.
On the same occasion, Endah N Rhesa will also premiere the lyric video for “Terang Bulan,” illustrated by Jamal Masykur Aziz (@lapantigatiga), an illustrator and mural artist whose works also adorn the walls of Earhouse. The lyric video will be available on Endah N Rhesa’s official YouTube channel on the song’s release day.
They hope “Terang Bulan” can become a companion for anyone spending nights filled with questions, learning to accept loss, or simply needing a quiet space to pause and sit with their emotions.
