Bingkai Karya – Dance music icons Steve Aoki and David Guetta reunite for their new song, “My Life,” featuring Swae Lee and the late PnB Rock. This release builds on their decades-long friendship and collaboration, with Aoki and Guetta having performed together and remixed each other’s tracks throughout their careers. Their last joint effort, the 2018 hit “Motto” (featuring Lil Uzi Vert and G-Eazy), set the stage for fans eagerly awaiting this new original collaboration. Recently, Aoki remixed Guetta and Kim Petras’ 2024 track “When We Were Young.”
“My Life” marks a strong start to the new year for Aoki, following the release of his ninth studio album, Paragon, in 2024. This album expands the immersive HiROQUEST universe, which Aoki has crafted through music, trading cards, and a newly launched graphic novel. Aoki also previously collaborated with PnB Rock on his album HiROQUEST 2: Double Helix, making “My Life” a heartfelt continuation of their work together.
Accompanying the song is a stunning and visually captivating music video directed by OseanWorld, an Atlanta-based artist known for his futuristic visuals and characters.
“‘My Life’ is a meaningful song for me, collaborating with my brother David Guetta, Swae Lee, and the legendary PnB Rock,” said Steve Aoki. “It’s all about the deep personal connections we’ve built and the energy we’ve brought into music over the years.”
The release comes as David Guetta continues to dominate global dance music charts. Earlier this month, Guetta broke records by securing his 17th #1 spot on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart with “Forever Young,” featuring Ava Max and Alphaville. The song has also climbed the Adult Pop Airplay (Top 10) and Top 40 (Top 15) charts, solidifying Guetta’s status as a global dance music icon.
“I love creating music that blends dance and hip-hop, and I’m really happy with how this track turned out,” added David Guetta. “It’s always great working with my good friend Steve Aoki, and Swae Lee is an incredible artist. It’s also very special that we were able to include vocals from the late PnB Rock, which gives this record its final touch.”
Swae Lee’s fans are buzzing about his latest futuristic track, “Doodleverse,” featuring Pharrell and Lil Yachty, as well as his collaborative project with Steve Aoki, Swaeoki. Lee’s bond with Aoki runs deep—over the years, they’ve performed together worldwide, including a standout appearance at Dim Mak’s 20th-anniversary tour in San Francisco, where they engaged the audience in a massive mannequin challenge.
“‘My Life’ is special because it’s about creativity and connection,” said Swae Lee. “Working with Steve and David, along with honoring PnB Rock’s legacy, makes this track even more meaningful. It’s all about bringing energy and heart into the music, and I can’t wait for the world to feel it.”
