Bingkai Karya – GoodFolks, a coffee shop and creative space founded by singer, songwriter, and producer Uap Widya, has reopened with a new concept to become a gathering place for musicians and communities from all walks of life in Jakarta and beyond.
Previously known as a hidden gem, GoodFolks has now moved to a larger space in Menteng, Central Jakarta, and offers a more diverse menu of food and drinks. The new space is designed to provide a comfortable and inspiring environment for musicians to perform and create.
“I believe that every musician needs a place they can call home to introduce their work,” said Uap Widya. “This is what we fully support through GoodFolks, so that they can finally introduce themselves to the Indonesian music industry.”
GoodFolks has a number of programs in place to support musicians, including a monthly program featuring fresh new talent. This is set to become one of GoodFolks’ flagship programs and a unique feature.
In addition, GoodFolks will also be hosting programs for communities from various fields, such as exhibitions, gatherings, competitions, and even regular events. “We hope that musicians, artists, and other communities can come together and collaborate to create new opportunities for themselves to keep their work known,” said Uap Widya.
GoodFolks was officially launched recently with a lively event featuring performances by The Krankers, RBA, and Uap Widya himself. The event was also hosted by MC Willy Winarko, who added to the excitement of the GoodFolks Grand Launching.
With its upcoming programs, GoodFolks is set to become a space for those who have been longing for a place to call home. In addition, they can enjoy Indonesian food, coffee, and even locally-produced cocktails, all in support of local Indonesian products.
