How to Learn Self-Healing to Recover Mental Health

Maybe some of us ever had unpleasant experiences in the past that still lingers on our mind until now. This condition is called a psychological wound. It is true that this psychological wound or mental wound is not visible, but it also affects our body and usually lasts for a long time.

In order to heal from that wound, we can make peace with the past although it’s not easy to forgive that. Therefore, self-healing is a way which can make us slowly recover the wounds. These are several ways to start self-healing in order to make peace with the past, including self-love, self-acceptance, and self-compassion.

The first thing that can be done in self-healing is self-love or loving yourself by improving your life goals, taking care of yourself, and also understanding negative thoughts. Mental wounds in the form of anxiety, feelings of failure, and also deep sadness need to be avoided since it can lead to depression.

The second step is self acceptance. At this stage, a person is advised to better understand himself by respecting, acknowledging, and accepting his own limitations and achievements.
