Zachary Knowles Expresses His Hidden Self in “GOALIE”

Zachary Knowles, the indie pop singer, released a new extended player entitled “GOALIE” last October. This EP contains 7 songs which are honest explorations of the struggle Zachary Knowles with himself. In this EP, he poured out all his worries to keep himself in “GOALIE” by blocking out all emotions and staying sane.

Following the release of the acclaimed debut album Tendency To Be A Loner, “GOALIE” was created during Zachary’s trip to LA.

Zachary Knowles explained, “At that point, I felt like I had given up to myself. Before heading to LA, I took a step back so I could reflect on where I am in life, what I want from the next round of music, and one word which kept ringing was authenticity. “GOALIE” made me rediscover my emotional connection with my music. I have come from a very dark place mentally. After creating “GOALIE”, I’m finally in a healthy place to look back on those times and see the personal growth that comes from a different perspective. It allows me to process how far I stepped.”

GOALIE succeeded in proving Zachary Knowles’ position as the leader of the indie pop singer. With over 70 million global streams, 1 million+ monthly listeners on Spotify, and a dedicated 100k+ fan base on social media, it’s clear that Knowles has a unique ability to connect with listeners, as he continues to prove that pop music can be personal.
