Every activity that provides satisfaction or a sense of pleasure, such as playing with your phone or scrolling through social media, causes the brain to release Dopamine, a neurotransmitter hormone. Long-term exposure to this substance will make it difficult to concentrate, preventing us from engaging in productive activities. A Dopamine Detox is required in this case to reset our brain.

Dopamine Detox is an activity in which we limit our consumption to activities that provide us with dopamine. This does not imply that it will reduce dopamine or change brain function, but the goal is to encourage people to spend less time on less-than-beneficial activities, such as phone addiction and poor work quality due to lack of focus. You can begin dopamine detox in a variety of ways.

  1. Create a gadget usage schedule, designating a specific time to use your device, such as after you finish your work.

2. Do physical exercise; scrolling through social media while lying around will weaken your physical health because you are not getting any exercise; start doing any physical exercise such as jogging, push ups, yoga, or any other set of exercises to help you freshen your body.

4. Begin practicing any of your hobbies, such as writing, drawing, or cooking. This will increase your productivity throughout the day.
