In commemoration of the holy month of Ramadan on March 13, 2024, the ibis Styles Malang team, also known as Heartist, held a buka puasa (fast-breaking) event with the children of the At-Taufiq Orphanage Malang. This event is part of the hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and is an annual event as a form of social care for others.
The event began with the distribution of ta’jil (light snacks) in front of the ibis Styles Malang hotel, followed by a buka puasa together. On this occasion, the representative of the ibis Styles Malang hotel management, Mrs. Ina Rianawati as General Manager, conveyed the message that with this event, it is hoped that all those in the hotel environment will be more sensitive in living in society and can share with those in need.
This was followed by a speech from the representative of the At-Taufiq Orphanage Malang, Mrs. Hj. Djamillah. In addition, Ust. Muhammad Nanang Se, M.M.A. gave a sermon related to the theme of the event, namely “Muliakan Ramadan, dengan Menjemput Keberkahan” (Honoring Ramadan, Welcoming Blessings).
It is hoped that with this event, it can further strengthen the brotherhood and kinship between the employees and the surrounding environment of the ibis Styles Malang Hotel, and facilitate Muslim employees in carrying out their worship in the holy month of Ramadan with positive activities. In addition, it is also hoped that it can increase the sense of gratitude that until now they have been given the opportunity and ability to share with others.
The event ended with the distribution of donations and Ramadan packages to the children of the At-Taufiq Orphanage Malang.
