Jeremy Zucker makes a comeback with a brand-new song, “I’m So Happy” with New Zealand alt-pop singer BENEE. It is his first release since 2021 and begins in a fresh sound era.
In “I’m So Happy,” Jeremy continues to develop. His voice fluctuates over a lush sound environment in waves of subtle emotion, and BENEE contributes an equally alluring verse as their combined voices blend into an addicting hook. The song “I’m So Happy” most importantly brings in Jeremy’s new age by opening the door for his upcoming new project and much more.
“‘I’m so happy’ is a song about fantasy. I wanted to flip the idea of longing; instead of wishing to be somewhere with a special someone, I wrote the song while wishing to be somewhere *without* someone. The contradiction of the lyrics versus the instrumental is what I love most about it. Sonically, it has elements that may remind listeners of my old songs. I’m so grateful to BENEE for her part in creating this song – I hope you guys love it as much as we loved making it,” Jeremy explained.
“When Jeremy first sent me the song, I was instantly drawn to the lyrics. I love how this song makes me feel when I sing it.. especially the hook! For me, this song is definitely about coming out the other end of getting over the wrong person & them finally being out of your life lol. I was so stoked to work on this song with him & was equally stoked with being able to make the video with him in LA,” added BENEE.
Jeremy released his sophomore LP CRUSHER last year to enormous praise and 140 million streamed copies worldwide.
Jeremy Zucker has achieved an astounding 9.5 billion worldwide streams and sold 4 million albums since breaking out in 2015. His discography is full of timeless anthems, including the Platinum-Certified singles “you were kind to me” with Chelsea Cutler and the breakout “comethru,” as well as the Gold-Certified singles “talk is overrated” featuring Blackbear and “all the youngsters are depressed.”
