Bingkai Karya – Singer, songwriter, and content creator Kalya Islamadina officially releases her debut EP titled “Orange.” The project marks a new chapter in her musical journey, arriving alongside the release of her fifth track, “Orange Sky.”
Through this EP, Kalya unites her previous works into one cohesive and deeply personal collection. Having grown up in a family that loves music, her desire to express herself through sound has shaped her creative process and emotional storytelling.
Since debuting in 2022 and earning over 700,000 Spotify streams with her first single “Eyesmile,” Kalya now presents “Orange” as a reflection of her emotional growth and artistic maturity.
The EP explores five stages of love. Admiration, fear, doubt, honesty, and acceptance expressed through a warm, introspective soundscape. The title “Orange” symbolizes openness and transition, much like the color itself, which exists between light and dark.
“This project is about learning to accept life and emotions as they are,” Kalya shares in her written statement.
Actively involved in every step of the process, Kalya co wrote and co produced the EP alongside Rendy Pandugo and Khalishah Isyana, two collaborators who helped her realize her creative vision.
The song “3000 Miles,” produced with Rendy, embodies the beauty of simplicity and emotional honesty while each track in “Orange” offers distinct sonic textures that remain emotionally intertwined.
From “Eyesmile” the start of her journey to “Neptune,” inspired by long distance love “3000 Miles,” which celebrates imperfection and “Orange Sky,” the hopeful closing track every song represents a chapter in Kalya’s personal evolution.
“Each song took its own time,” Kalya explains. “Some took years to finish. Even though they were released at different times, they’re all connected by the same thread life and emotions I’ve come to celebrate.”
With “Orange,” Kalya aims to create a listening experience that feels simple yet meaningful, where honesty takes center stage. Through this release, she hopes to be recognized not only as a content creator but as a storyteller who conveys emotion through her music.
