Set against the backdrop of England’s Wars of the Roses, the movie follows Anne (played by Turner), a woman living a difficult life on the fringes of society with her mother-in-law. Harington takes on the role of a mysterious figure from Anne’s past whose arrival disrupts her life in unexpected ways.
