Mahalini Raharja Releases Debut Album “Fabula”

Mahalini Raharja, Indonesian Idol Season 10 finalist, officially released her first album, “Fabula”. Fabula means a moral fairy tale, and Mahalini wants to tell her love story and her life through this album as if it were a bedtime fairy tale.

Fabula is Mahalini’s debut album, which includes 10 songs. The “Fabula” album contains 6 new song tracks: “Ini Laguku”, “Buru-Buru”, “Putar Waktu”, “Bohongi Hati”, “Sial”, and “Pecahkan Hatiku”. The 4 additional songs, “Bawa Dia Kembali”, “Sisa Rasa”, “Melawan Restu”, and “Kisah Sempurna”, have previously been released.

Mahalini worked with several musicians on this album, including S/eek (Marco Stefiano, Kitut Sinjingo, Josh Kunze, Jessy Mates), Tintin, Kenny Gabriel, and Kamga Mo as producers, and Barsena Bashthiandi.

The song “Bohongi Hati” is one of the songs on the album “Fabula”. Every word and sentence in the lyrics of the song “Bohongi Hati” has a hidden meaning. “Bohongi Hati” tells the story of proving that genuine love exists in different ways. This song tells the story of a person who truly loves someone but is forced by circumstances to be dishonest in expressing or revealing her feelings.

Some of Mahalini’s songs have become popular in Indonesian music to this day. Mahalini received three AMI Award nominations for her song “Sisa Rasa,” won the 2021 Indonesian Music Awards trophy in the New Artist of the Year category, and won the Most Popular New Singer category at the 2022 Bandung Music Awards. Mahalini is also the first Indonesian woman to have two Indonesian songs on Sportify with 100 million streams.
