Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 will also feature Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The collection will be available for the PS5 in the fall.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was released in November 2004 for the PlayStation 2. Since then, the game has received remasters and editions for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Vita. In March 2011, a Nintendo 3DS version of the game was released.
The majority of the Metal Gear Solid games follow Solid Snake, a special forces operator who gradually becomes entangled in a global conspiracy. The first game in the series, launched on the PlayStation in 1998, finds him neutralizing a terrorist threat posed by Foxhound, a rogue special forces squad that has abducted hostages and taken possession of a nuclear launch facility in Alaska.
Konami said in November 2021 that many Metal Gear Solid franchise titles, including Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, will be temporarily removed from digital marketplaces.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Kojima’s last Metal Gear title with Konami, was released in September 2015 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The game was sold in excess of six million copies by Konami.
Metal Gear Survive is the first Metal Gear game revealed on a console since Kojima’s departure from Konami. In February 2017, the game was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. (https://hoyoskitchen.com/)
