Bingkai Karya – Awakening Music proudly announces the full release of ‘Back To You’, the highly anticipated new studio album from Maher Zain. This project marks his fourth full length studio album and his first in a decade, following a period defined by globally impactful releases, including chart topping singles such a “Rahmatun Lil’Alameen and Qalbi Fil Madinah”, which have reached millions of listeners worldwide.
The 16 track album reflects Maher Zain’s continued artistic evolution, musically expansive, spiritually grounded, and deeply personal. Blending songwriting in both Arabic and English with rhythmic influences from Africa and North Africa, ‘Back To You’ remains rooted in faith inspired themes such as reflection, hope, remembrance (dhikr), and trust in God (tawakkul).
As part of a phased release aligned with Ramadan, songs have been unveiled gradually over the past three months: Take My Hand, Habibi, Ya Muhammad, Qamarun, Allahu Ya Allahu, Sallou, Yama Wo Yama, Da’iman Wa Abada, Al-Hawdh, Yawmul Eid, and Never Let Me Down.
Today, the album is completed with the release of five tracks: “Hikaya Jamila, Queen of Our Deen, Thank You, I Could’ve Been You, and Not Ready To Die”. Each song brings a distinct emotional and spiritual dimension, offering moments of reflection, devotion, and reassurance for listeners throughout the journey from Ramadan to its closing.
Maher Zain shares, “This album is called Back To You because at its core, it is about returning to God, to sincerity, to purpose, and to what truly matters. Over the past few years, I have grown both personally and spiritually, and this project reflects that journey. I wanted the music to feel honest, reflective, and present especially during Ramadan, when hearts are more open and searching.”
The album was developed through a series of international songwriting camps held in Morocco, Turkey, Sweden, and Indonesia, bringing together diverse creative voices from across the Muslim world and beyond. Collaborators on the project include a global team of songwriters, fellow Awakening Music artist Harris J, and longtime collaborator Bara Kherigi.
Rather than following the conventional single day release model, ‘Back To You’ was designed as a carefully structured musical journey guiding listeners week by week throughout Ramadan, allowing each song to stand on its own before culminating in the full album release today. Bara Kherigi, Managing Director of Awakening Music, adds: “Maher Zain is a rare, once in a generation artist whose music has become part of the spiritual and cultural fabric of Ramadan worldwide. This is his first full studio album in ten years, and we approached its release with great care. We designed Back To You as a journey giving each song the space, meaning, and respect it deserves before bringing them together into a complete body of work.”
Several songs explore themes of reliance on God in moments of solitude and uncertainty, love and reverence for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the human longing for meaning, guidance, and connection. Altogether, the album forms a cohesive musical experience, one to be felt, not just heard.
