Nadin Amizah held her first solo concert ‘Konser Selamat Ulang Tahun’. The concert was attended by 2,800 people who filled the Basket Hall. The concert began with a visualization of the memory of Bunda Intan, Nadin Amizah’s mother, in the ‘Intro’ as the magical opening act of the ‘Konser Selamat Ulang Tahun’. The appearance of the ‘Intro’ brought the audience into the small details of the story line that is being built.
By introducing the characters of little Nadin Amizah, Mother, her little family, to the character of the Father, who is shown as a black figure throughout the song, leading the whole scene to spin backwards towards the birth, which is also a sign that the ‘Konser Selamat Ulang Tahun’ officially opened with also invited the whole hall to sing Selamat Ulang Tahun song together loudly.
The transition from joyous emotion to roaring to emotion in the prologue of the concert was followed by the hum of ‘Kanyaah’ which also brought Nadin Amizah to the stage carried by the character Bunda and continued with the visualization of the song ‘Paman Tua’, featuring a new character from Bapak, which was warmly welcomed by the audience.
In telling her story during the concert, Nadin Amizah also built interaction with the audience through the narration she presented. The interactions that took place made the narrative flow even richer which was accompanied by applause by the audience towards the song ‘Kereta Ini Melaju Terlalu Cepat’.
It didn’t stop there, the audience’s enthusiasm was increasingly felt and heard when ‘Beranjak Dewasa’ was performed with choreography on the stage. The audience’s enthusiasm was boundless when Nadin Amizah brought Bunda Intan to the stage for the first time. The two of them sat on the sofa embracing each other accompanied by the song ‘Bertaut’ making the entire audience sing and cry.
Apart from presenting a narrative from Nadin Amizah’s childhood memory, ‘Konser Selamat Ulang Tahun’ is also an antidote in presenting a different format of concert experience. By presenting the ‘Konser Selamat Ulang Tahun’ at the end of this year, she hoped that this work will continue to move hearts and become an extension of the life of Nadin Amizah’s debut album.
