These are the lyrics to Nowela‘s latest song, ‘Back To You,’ which is a follow-up to her previous single, ‘Bertahan.
A follow-up to the previous hit “Bertahan”. “I want to express what my friends out there might feel,” Nowela said “Perhaps a lot of friends are feeling hopeless right now or that a huge wall is preventing them from moving forward. I’d like to invite my pals to continue the process and keep continuing because I’m sure there’s a wonderful garden behind the big wall,” she added. Although Nowela provides the song “Back To You” for Indonesian music fans who are now feeling hopeless, the song is based on Nowela’s own life.
The song, which was co-written by Kaleb J and Belanegara Abe, transports Nowela to the lowest point of her existence, where she was despondent and had lost her bearings.”At the time, I felt a pressure in my chest, as if a large rock was trying to pull me to the depths of the ground. I questioned the seal at the moment. Even now, as I relate this story, I can feel the tightness from that moment,” Nowela remarked. It’s hard to say what Nowela’s lowest time was, but ‘Back To You’ let her express it.
The hope, as Nowela herself stated, is that her friends out there hold on to hope and continue to move on whatever the problems they are fighting. Nowela asks her friends to have optimism in this single, as opposed to the previous single, in which she requested that they endure. “There is always hope. So I want my friends who hear this song to keep going and see optimism ahead,” she said.
This year marks Nowela’s comeback with inspirational works. That is why, as if she does not want to quit, Nowela has planned her next projects. She even said that the plan has been arranged for next year. She also stated that her upcoming works will continue to be inspired by aspects of her own life.
