Bingkai Karya – GRAMMY®-nominated pop superstar Zara Larsson keeps the global party alive with ‘Midnight Sun: Girls Trip,’ a remix and collaboration collection that reimagines her already high-energy songs. Revisiting every track from her breakthrough album ‘Midnight Sun’, Zara invites her female friends and idols from around the world into an inclusive celebration that crosses borders, genres, and moods creating an unforgettable journey of free and limitless self expression.
The musicians joining Zara on this project represent a wide range of musical genres and backgrounds, from legendary icons and rising stars to influential indie figures: Shakira, Robyn, Tyla, PinkPantheress, Kehlani, JT, Madison Beer, Emilia, Helena Gao, Margo XS, BAMBII, Malibu, and Eli.
The album opens with a new version of ‘Midnight Sun’, continuing the creative collaboration between Zara and PinkPantheress over a beat that blends Zara’s vibrant dance-pop style with PinkPantheress’ dynamic UK garage sound. On the next track, Kehlani brings a luxurious R&B touch to the romantic “Blue Moon,” before JT delivers a striking verse on the loud and energetic “Pretty Ugly,” remixed by Margo XS. Later, Shakira transforms “Eurosummer” into a club anthem, Tyla elevates the diva energy in “Hot & Sexy,” and Robyn brings her legendary presence to “Puss Puss.” Zara ties everything together with sparkling new vocals throughout the project.
As the songs shift between different styles, tempos, moods, and even languages, there is never a dull moment on ‘Midnight Sun: Girls Trip’. In assembling this world-class lineup from across the globe, Zara worked closely with Margo XS and MNEK to shape the project and trusted collaborators who also helped create ‘Midnight Sun’ in 2025 alongside Gao and Zhone. The original album became not only Zara’s most authentic and expressive work to date, but also one of her most critically acclaimed releases.
Zara’s massive success following the release of ‘Midnight Sun’ is what made “Girls Trip” possible. In February, she earned her first-ever GRAMMY® nomination for ‘Midnight Sun’ in the Best Dance Pop Recording category, while also experiencing what Billboard described as her “return to the Hot 100 charts.” Now ranked as the 24th biggest artist in the world on Spotify, Zara currently has four singles on the Billboard Hot 100: the viral “Lush Life” (which peaked at #35 with a video nearing one billion views), “Midnight Sun” (#39), and her previous collaboration with PinkPantheress, “Stateside” (#6), which reached #1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify’s Global Top 50 after U.S. figure skating champion Alysa Liu performed the song during the Winter Olympics. This week, Tyla’s “She Did It Again” featuring Zara debuted at #59.
Zara was also honored with the Breakthrough Award at Billboard’s Women in Music event. In an interview released this month celebrating the recognition, Billboard described ‘Midnight Sun’ as “the album that made her the newest favorite among female pop fans.” Similar praise has come from publications such as PAPER, Rolling Stone, Vogue, GQ, Pitchfork, NYLON, and many others. She has also recently received five American Music Award nominations: Breakthrough Pop Artist, Breakthrough Album of the Year, Song of the Summer, Collaboration of the Year, and Social Song of the Year.
Zara has also received praise for her first-ever sold-out North American headline tour. Inspired by her success in the United States, The New Yorker published a profile this month titled “Zara Larsson Gets Her Flowers,” describing how “on the Midnight Sun tour, the Swedish artist staged a comeback that felt like a debut.” As part of celebrating her remarkable year, Zara also reflected on this whirlwind chapter of her life in the latest in-depth episode of Call Her Daddy.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Zara will begin a packed summer festival run next month, including Lollapalooza, BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, and a series of major performances across Europe. In September, the ‘Midnight Sun Tour’ officially continues, beginning with a newly announced concert at the beloved Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, followed by arena shows across Australia and New Zealand. Presale tickets for the Australia/New Zealand leg sold out in less than two hours, more than six months ahead of the tour dates.
If ‘Midnight Sun’ was inspired by the endless summer nights of Stockholm, Zara’s hometown, then “Midnight Sun: Girls Trip” represents what happens when those nights evolve into an endless season of pure pop energy where everyone is invited. As Zara herself recently said, “This is only the beginning of Girls Trip!!!”
About Zara Larsson
“Summer isn’t over yet” isn’t just a lyric from Zara Larsson’s biggest hit, “Midnight Sun” it’s a statement of intent. Ten years after releasing her first international breakthrough single, “Lush Life” (2015), the GRAMMY®-nominated Swedish superstar has fully stepped into her place in pop culture as a true “Main Pop Girl.” In 2026, as her sold-out tour continues to gain momentum, she has landed three songs on the Hot 100: the recently viral “Lush Life” (#35, with the video nearing one billion views), “Midnight Sun” (#39), and her collaboration with PinkPantheress, “Stateside” (#6 and #1 on the Global 200). All of this comes shortly after the release of Midnight Sun, Zara’s fourth studio album and her most authentic and vibrant project to date, created alongside her trusted creative team MNEK, Margo XS, Helena Gao, and Zhone while fearlessly showcasing every side of herself: in love, melancholic, ambitious, reckless, joyful, and uncertain, often all in the same breath.
