Bingkai Karya-Alessa, a pop band from Majalengka, released a hit song from top soloist Astrid titled “Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua.” The original song from Astrid was released in 2007. This time, Alessa had the opportunity to re-arrange Astrid’s song with a more modern version.
Although this hit song has a tragic meaning, the popularity comes from the story of a third person who wants to stay in the wrong relationship. The lines “Jikalau semua berbeda, Kau bukanlah orang yang kupuja, Tetapi hatiku Telah memilihmu Walau kau tak mungkin tinggalkannya” are the lyrics that Alessa’s personnel find very painful.
Produced by Ivan Dewanto, Alessa managed to create a more modern color for this song by adding new vibes. “In our opinion, this song was already very characterful and extraordinary, so we have the chance to add a few new colors or vibes to make it more modern,” said the band fronted by Putri (vocalist), Elton (guitarist) and Andri (drummer). As for the music video, Alessa and Giri Maulana created 2 music video concepts. One of the music videos features Alessa personnel as the actors, also Astrid as a co-star.
Even though this song tells a sad story, Alessa hopes that the single “Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua” will become a new atmosphere for previous audiences.
