Bingkai Karya – Globally acclaimed singer-songwriter Maher Zain has announced the release of ‘Back To You’, his first full studio album in ten years. The 16-track project marks a major milestone in the artist’s career, following a decade that saw the release of widely celebrated singles such as “Rahmatun Lil’Alameen” and “Qalbi Fil Madinah,” which reached audiences across the Muslim world and beyond.
Described as Maher Zain’s most personal body of work to date, ‘Back To You’ blends Arabic and English songwriting with diverse musical influences, including African and North African rhythms. The album remains rooted in faith-inspired themes, exploring reflection, remembrance, trust in God, and spiritual renewal.
Speaking about the project, Maher Zain said the album represents a return to sincerity and purpose, reflecting his personal and spiritual growth over recent years. He noted that the music was created with Ramadan in mind, a period he described as one in which listeners are especially open to reflection and meaning.
The album was developed through international songwriting camps held in Morocco, Türkiye, Sweden, and Indonesia, bringing together collaborators from across the Muslim world. Contributors include fellow Awakening Music artist Harris J, as well as Maher Zain’s longtime collaborator Bara Kherigi, who also serves as Managing Director of Awakening Music.
Rather than releasing the album in a single drop, ‘Back To You’ will be rolled out gradually through a phased release strategy aligned with the spiritual rhythm of Ramadan. New music will be unveiled weekly from late January through the holy month, culminating in the full album release in early April.
According to Awakening Music, the approach is intended to allow each song to be experienced individually, positioning the album as a companion throughout Ramadan rather than a one-time release.
With ‘Back To You’, Maher Zain reinforces his standing as one of the most influential voices in faith-inspired music, offering a project designed to be engaged with over time, through presence, reflection, and spiritual connection.
