Romy from The xx returns with a new song that evokes enthusiasm or passion, “Enjoy Your Life”, following the success of his previous two solo singles “Strong” and “Lifetime”. The single features the voice of Beverly Glenn-Copeland, and was produced by Fred Agaid, Stuart Price, and Jamie xx.
“Enjoy Your Life” will be part of Romy’s upcoming solo album, as well as “Mid-Air” which will be released in September this year. The release plans for these solo albums will be announced next month.

Romy introduces “Enjoy Your Life”: a euphoric disco hit that recalls her mother’s words. “Enjoy Your Life” was inspired by a special night when pop icon Robyn took Romy to see American-Canadian singer-songwriter Beverly Glenn-Copeland perform in Stockholm. Although all of her performances surprised her, one song, in particular, blew Romy away: “My mom told me to ‘enjoy your life'” from Glenn-Copeland’s “La Vita”. The line hit home for Romy, a songwriter, and DJ. His mother passed away when he was just 11 years old.
Romy has very big summer plans this year, including his solo live debut at Coachella, Fuji Rock Festival as well as an international tour. ⅓ of xx, “Strong” has gained over 20 million global streams, 294K Shazams, and made the top 10 of 30 markets within 6 weeks.
