Sarah Saputri and Osha Putri Narrate about Toxic Relationships in “Kamu”

Sarah Saputri has released her latest single “Kamu”. This is not the first time she entrusted the process of songwriting to Osha Putri. Previously, she worked with the songwriter in “Terlanjur Lelah”.

In “Kamu”, Osha Putri explores toxic relationships. The song depicts a person willing to endure pain and disappointment to keep their desired partner by their side, despite the long wait and disappointment they may face. They desire manipulative comfort and happiness, despite not being the only ones in their partner’s life. (canadianpharmacy365.net)

Speaking of the meaning, Sarah Saputri explained, “Why does pain appear concurrently if love is a gift, then? Is sacrificing one’s own happiness a form of love that is worthwhile if love needs sacrifices? I dunno, maybe this work will help those who go through it to be able to think clearly. Accept the fact that love is illogical and move on. But is that really necessary?”

Jason Limanjaya also participated in the music, serving as an arranger. Jason mentioned that the arrangement in the song was adjusted to match the lyrics that depict “uncertainty or hanging in the balance.” Jason expressed, “If I were to imagine the feeling, it might be like someone walking in a barren but snowy landscape.”

Kamu” is now available on digital music streaming platforms. You can watch the music video on Sarah Saputri’s YouTube channel.
