Bingkai Karya — Indonesia-based musician Réna officially makes her debut with “Teach Me How To Love You,” a single inspired by her everyday relationship with her beloved dog. Released through Uda Rulli Production, the song reflects on the process of learning how to understand affection beyond words and recognizing love through everyday presence, patience, and attention.

For Réna, the song began not with heartbreak or romance, but simply because “he” was there. Living alongside her dog encouraged her to look at affection from a different perspective. Rather than seeing love solely as an act of caring for another being, Réna found herself learning how animals communicate comfort and affection through their own gestures and routines.

“I think we often assume that we already know how to love,” Réna says. “But when you live with an animal, I feel like you have to learn it all over again from the beginning. They have their own way of showing affection, and we are the ones who have to learn to understand it.”

Musically, “Teach Me How To Love You” sits between indie folk and acoustic pop, built around acoustic guitar and Réna’s gentle vocals. The production remains deliberately simple, allowing the lyrics and central story to take the spotlight. Uda Rulli serves as producer, while also handling the mixing, mastering, arrangement, and editing. The track features violin by Dika Chasmala, vocal direction by Wirayuda Gunawan, and paw percussion by Jo Kyra.

Although the song originates from Réna’s relationship with her dog, its message extends beyond companionship between humans and animals. “Teach Me How To Love You” explores how closeness can grow through attention, patience, routines, and simply being present. The song also highlights the idea that affection does not always require grand gestures; sometimes, it exists in the small things repeated every day.

The single marks the beginning of Soliloquies, Réna’s debut project exploring different forms of love, closeness, and relationships that shape how people understand themselves and others. The project will continue to unfold through a series of singles over the coming years.

“Teach Me How To Love You” is written, composed, and arranged by Réna, with Jean Felicia as executive producer. The single is available across digital streaming platforms under Uda Rulli Production. Listeners can follow Réna through @fromrena_ on Instagram and TikTok for updates on her music and upcoming releases.
