Synchronize Fest 2023 Invites 2 Visual Artists to Work on “Bhinneka Tunggal Musik”

Synchronize Fest 2023 comes with a sustainable and collaborative work pattern with a visual theme to celebrate “Bhinneka Tunggal Musik”. Synchronize Fest challenged 2 different artists, Sicovecas and Mahdi Albart, to collaborate and work together with it. It will be held on September 1, 2 and 3 2023 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran.

Mahdi Albart is a visual artist from Bogor who works with imaginative forms, animated everyday objects, and comics with bright colors and a variety of spaces. The illustration style of the 80s and 90s is interesting to follow. The offer of texture to images made as part of a cycle of visual trends that are constantly moving can provoke us to add our own imagination.

However, Sicovecas is an artist from Yogyakarta with a sustainability approach and engaged as a muralist and graffiti artist. Sicovecas invites the audience to think with their own imaginations through the deconstruction of objects or images, abstract patterns that reflect movement and energy through overlapping colors, which are forms of Sicovecas’ practice. Sicovecas’ work is very energetic and responds to visual language as a real and authentic piece.

This collaboration project with Mahdi Albart and Sicovecas was officially announced on the Instagram account @synchronizefest with a stop motion video method by collage artist Moses Sihombing in an imaginative manual and analog creation process.

With the theme “Bhinneka Tunggal Musik” this year, Synchronize Fest wants to convey a collaborative meaning that regardless of the type of music and differences in background and identity, everything is combined into one unit in the name of music.

Look forward to the Synchronize Fest “Bhinneka Tunggal Musik” which will be held on 1, 2 and 3 September 2023 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta. For more information, visit Instagram @synchronizefest and the website www.synchronizefestival.com
