Bingkai Karya-Tyla, a GRAMMY winner with two Billboard records, is adding more excitement to her debut album. She has released a deluxe version of the album “TYLA,” called “TYLA +,” with three new songs.
The deluxe album, TYLA +, continues her rise to stardom, which started in the summer of 2023. The first new track, “Shake Ah,” features South African talents like DJ Tony Duardo and singers Optimist and Maestro. The other two songs, “Push 2 Start” and “Back To You,” mix R&B with Amapiano music.
Before her hit “Water,” Tyla had a mission to bring Amapiano music to the world. “Water” became a massive success, reaching rank 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and making her the highest-charting African female solo artist. Her debut album TYLA also reached the Top 25 on the Billboard 200. “Water” even won a GRAMMY Award, and Tyla performed it at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
“Water” continues to make waves. Tyla is nominated for four MTV Europe Music Awards in 2024, including Best New Artist and Best African Act. The awards will be held in Manchester, UK, on November 10.
Tyla’s summer of 2024 was a big one. She won two BET Awards for Best New Artist and Best International Act and also won Best Afrobeats Video at the MTV VMAs.
