Bingkai Karya– After making fans happy with his social media and podcast content, Vidi Aldiano, better known as VIDI, released a new Indonesian-language track called “Senyumin Dulu Aja” to show off his singing skills. The song shows VIDI’s struggle with anxiety and bad days and emphasizes the power of a smile.
According to VIDI, “This song is my personal way of coping with a bad day or even when I’m experiencing anxiety.” In order to make individuals who are having a rough day or are feeling anxious feel better, I wanted to write a song that is lighthearted and joyful while being honest about the current state of affairs.VIDI is presenting this song in partnership with TADI, a new music ensemble from Bandung. The Fathan Garna and Adhi Handoyo-led band helped VIDI create and produce the song with Dony Manurung.
No wonderful partnership would have happened without VIDI’s best buddy, Isyana Sarasvati. Isyana, TADI’s record label owner, exposed VIDI to their works. Through this introduction, VIDI wanted to cooperate with them.VIDI commented, “The similarity in frequency with TADI makes the creative process very smooth and fun.” For this song, VIDI invited Isyana Sarasvati to sing backup. In addition to Isyana, VIDI brought his buddy Tara Basro.
VIDI’s Surprise
VIDI surprises continue. VIDI will invite guests to the music video (MV) of “Senyumin Dulu Aja”. VIDI’s close friends who have supported and smiled appear. The MV depicts a convenience shop where people of all backgrounds assemble, with and without friends and with and without difficulties. Convenience stores are representative of everyone, hence this idea was adopted.
