Benson Boone released an emotional new song called “What Was.” This song is also the latest song from Benson Boone’s upcoming EP, PULSE, which will be released on May 5.
“What Was” is a song under Night Street Records and Warner Records and has intimate verses with a big, bold chorus. Benson Boone said that the song is a reflection of his past relationships.
“This song is a reflection of a past relationship that I wish I could get back to. It’s a hard realization when you miss ‘those close to you,’ and all you can do is relive the memories in your head,” said Bensone Boone.
After previously releasing a piano ballad in 2022, “What Was” follows in the footsteps of his new exuberant single “Sugar Sweet.”
One of his singles entitled “GHOST TOWN” became his first song on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the Top 25 on Radio Top 40 and Hot AC. The song also became his first RIAA-certified Gold record, followed by “In The Stars,” which achieved certification in January.
Benson Boone himself was first discovered by Imagine Dragons superstar Dan Reynolds. This 20-year-old musician has racked up more than 1 billion global streams until now, as well as praise from Billboard praising his “restrained vocals” and Consequence, which dubbed the newcomer “an exciting new voice. (Phentermine) ” Benson Boone has also been named an Amazon Music Spotlight Breakthrough Artist for 2023.
Benson Boone will also be embarking on a PULSE headlining tour soon. He played across Europe in April, then kicked off the North American leg on May 31 in New York.
