Bingkai Karya – Two of Indonesia’s most promising young musicians, Bilal Indrajaya and Eva Celia, join forces for a heartfelt collaboration on “Rangga Cinta”, the official theme song for Miles Films’ newest release Rangga & Cinta.
Produced in collaboration with Miles Films, Trinity Optima Production, and legendary duo Melly Goeslaw & Anto Hoed, the single marks the return of the iconic Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (AADC) universe, now reimagined in a new film. With vibrant and emotional arrangements, “Rangga Cinta” blends nostalgia for long-time fans while introducing a fresh sound for today’s listeners.
Directed by Riri Riza and produced by Mira Lesmana alongside Nicholas Saputra, the film Rangga & Cinta is a modern remake of the 2002 classic that defined a generation. As in previous AADC films, the soundtrack remains an integral element, breathing life into the story and leaving a lasting imprint on audiences. This new installment features nine of Melly Goeslaw’s timeless tracks from the original film, plus three new songs, including “Rangga Cinta” as its lead theme.
Mira Lesmana shared the story behind the track “The essence of AADC has always been in its duet theme songs. Since this new chapter centers on youth, we wanted to involve young musicians as well. Melly sent us two songs, and in the end, we chose ‘Rangga Cinta’. The lyrics were developed together until it finally became what it is today.”
For Bilal Indrajaya, the project holds personal meaning , “This is my first time working with Eva, Mbak Melly, and Mbak Mira. I’ve been a fan of AADC since I was a kid in elementary school, so being part of this universe feels surreal. I didn’t feel pressure, just joy.”
Eva Celia echoed the sentiment “I’ve always loved the original AADC films, so to now be part of its legacy is truly an honor. Recording ‘Rangga Cinta’ was such a meaningful experience.”
With its emotional arrangements and the soulful blend of Bilal’s and Eva’s vocals, “Rangga Cinta” bridges generations, bringing nostalgia to those who grew up with AADC while offering fresh resonance for new audiences.
The film Rangga & Cinta will premiere on October 2, 2025, while the single “Rangga Cinta” is now available on all digital streaming platforms across Indonesia.
