Bingkai Karya – Fabio Asher, the singer known for his emotional ballads, is back with his latest single, “Tanpa Balasmu”. The song was written by Hendro Djasmoro—whose works have recently been featured in various Indonesian films—alongside Andre Litz and Barsena Bestandhi.
“Tanpa Balasmu” tells the story of a man struggling with the uncertainty of love. In the lyrics, he longs for clarity from someone he believes shares the same feelings. “The story is about a man waiting for an answer from someone he believes loves him too. But he’s left hanging. That’s why he says, ‘If yes, then say yes. If no, don’t give me false hope,’” Hendro Djasmoro jokingly explained.
Fabio Asher shared that this song is one of the biggest challenges in his musical journey. “This is one of the most challenging songs I’ve ever sung. The vocal range is incredibly wide. Plus, I had to maintain the right emotions throughout,” Fabio said. “Luckily, Kak Barsena was there to guide me. I can’t wait to perform this song live.”
The song has been chosen as the main soundtrack for the upcoming film “TABAYYUN”, set to be released in early 2025. The film stars Titi Kamal, Ibrahim Risyad, and Naysila Mirdad. Beehave Pictures, the production house behind the film, seems eager to replicate the success of “Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah” by using a similar approach in selecting its soundtrack.
“Tanpa Balasmu” is further elevated by the grand orchestral arrangement performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra in Hungary, adding emotional depth to the song.
