
Indonesia is now hosting ASEAN Para Games 2022, with Surakarta (or Solo) as a host city. ASEAN Para Games 2022 is a biannual multisport tournament for athletes with physical disabilities held from July 30 to August 6. 11 countries in Southeast Asia with 1283 athletes are participating in this tournament.
Indonesia is currently leading the medal wins for ASEAN Para Games 2022. Our athletes contribute 14 gold medals from various fields. Indonesia got their first medal on July 31 through Badminton’s Men’s Team Standing.
The next day, Indonesia brought more gold medals, some of them came from Athletic’s Men’s 100m T45/46 by Firza Faturahman Listianto, Women’s 100m T42/44 by Karisma Evi T, and Men’s Table Tennis.Not only that, Rani Puji Astuti from Power Lifting’s Women’s Up to 61kg also grabbed the gold medal, while Swimming won 7 gold medals.
Until Monday, Indonesia succeeded to grab 15 gold medals, 10 silvers, and 9 bronzes. In the 2nd place, there is Thailand with 9 golds, 11 silvers, and 5 bronzes. Let’s hope for the best for Indonesia! Break a leg Indonesia!
