‘One Piece’ Franchise Announced ‘One Piece: Red’ and 1 Month Manga Hiatus

Recently, ‘One Piece’ franchise announced two shocking news which were the premiere of ‘One Piece: Red’ and the manga that will be on hiatus due to final arc preparation. ‘One Piece: Red’ is scheduled to air in August this year in Japan. This movie will be the 15th movie of the ‘One Piece’ franchise. 

The movie will feature not only the Straw Hat Pirates’ adventure, but also Akagami (Red-haired) Shanks as well as his daughter Uta. Fans will figure out the mystery behind Shanks’ existence that is seen to have a big role in ‘One Piece’.

No wonder that this movie is anticipated by the fans who wait for the reunion between Monkey D. Luffy and his former mentor, Akagami Shanks. 

Another announcement made by the franchise was that Eiichiro Oda, the creator of ‘One Piece’, will take a break for four weeks to prepare for One Piece’s final saga.

The series’ 25th anniversary will be celebrated in July, followed by the release of ‘One Piece: Red in August’, as well as certain yet-to-be-announced events and collaborations.

Eiichiro Oda will go on hiatus from June 27 to July 25, 2022 after Wano arc ends.
