Bingkai Karya-After an eight-year hiatus, RAN is gearing up to release their full album “Teater Nestapa”. Leading up to this highly anticipated album, fans will get a taste of what’s to come with their double single releases, “Rahasia #1” and “Rahasia #2.”
Even though they’ve been incredibly active, constantly performing and releasing singles, there was a clear desire for something more substantial. “We felt it had been too long since we released a full album,” Rayi shared. “We tried putting out singles, but it didn’t feel like it captured RAN’s essence.”
Nino added, “At first, we thought that singles would be enough to keep us relevant in today’s music scene. But this time, we wanted to create something truly new. Singles felt like an extension of what people already knew about us. Creating an album feels like a fresh start with a completely new concept.”
This shared vision led the trio to focus on their sixth studio album, set to drop on October 23, 2024, titled “Teater Nestapa.” Fans can get a sneak peek on September 4, 2024, when “Rahasia #1” and “Rahasia #2” will be available.
As Nino explained, “As the title suggests, these double singles revolve around secrets and the complexities of love triangles.” He continued, “Love isn’t just about mutual affection. Over time, especially in long relationships, there are many internal conflicts. “Rahasia #1” explores the temptation of pursuing someone else, while “Rahasia #2” looks at the other side of the coin, questioning, ‘Am I just a secret to my partner?'”
These unconventional themes are the cornerstone of RAN’s upcoming album. Nino emphasized, “The concept of this album is quite unique. While RAN was previously known for its colorful and upbeat music, “Teater Nestapa” presents something completely different from what people might expect from us.”
To fully grasp the album’s content, we’ll need to wait for its release. However, “Rahasia #1” and “Rahasia #2” offer a bright preview of the next chapter in RAN’s journey through the Indonesian music industry.
