This time, the Dutch-Indonesian artist will release a digital version of her old song titled “MAAFKAN AKU MENCINTAI KEKASIHMU.” This song serves as a bridge to Rebecca’s upcoming mini album, which will release soon.
“MAAFKAN AKU MENCINTAI KEKASIHMU” is a classic ballad about a love triangle, telling the sad story of a woman who falls in love with her best friend’s husband. The song features classical music elements with orchestral accompaniment, making it highly dramatic, and blends harmoniously with Rebecca’s dynamic vocals. The ballad was officially released in 2006 as the second single from her debut album, “Kata Hati.” The song was written by famous songwriter Dewiq and produced by Dj Sumantri.
About Rebecca
Rebecca started singing at the age of 6. She then developed her own vocal style and character. She grew up in a musical family where her father was a bass player in a funk band. At the age of 12, Rebecca began recording some performances in the Netherlands. As she grew older, she released her debut album in Indonesia titled “Kata Hati” in 2006.
Rebecca’s second album, “Rock N’ Soul,” was released in 2010. Throughout her career, she has consistently created new songs and released many singles. Since the release of “Kata Hati,” Rebecca has gained recognition in the Indonesian music scene, leading her to tour across the country several times.
In addition to singing, Rebecca has also jumped into acting and has starred in several films such as Kartini, Jinx, and Taring. Her modeling career is also on the rise, as she will be participating in the Jakarta Fashion Week, coinciding with the release of her latest song “Rekah Kemayu.”
Rebecca has received several prestigious awards during her career, including the Most Sensational Artist award from Rolling Stone Indonesia in 2010. Her music video for “Clouds” has won several awards and including “Best Experimental Song & Music Video” nomination in 2021.
